The Upper Yellowstone, with its heart in Yellowstone National Park, comprises the vital headwaters region of the longest un-dammed river in the world.   From the Park and its Wyoming wilderness headwaters, the river flows north and its tributaries traverse the Gallatin National Forest and large ranches of the still unspoiled Paradise Valley north of Livingston.   Famous for its bounty of native wildlife, the Upper Yellowstone is also the vital primary stronghold of the Yellowstone cutthroat trout.
