PRC receives a grant from the Cow Creek Band of The Umpqua Tribe of Native Americans for the Umpqua Legacy River Program

The Cow Creek Tribe has awarded The Pacific Rivers Council a Natural Resources Grants to Community for PRC's Umpqua Legacy Rivers Volunteer Monitoring Program. The program will benefit culturally important species to the Tribe including steelhead, Chinook and coho salmon. The Roseburg Phoenix Charter School was also awarded a Cow Creek Tribal grant to purchase snorkel equipment to assist the Pacific Rivers Council with salmonid snorkel surveys for the volunteer monitoring program. http://www.kpic.com/news/local/133543278.html
