Guided by the philosophy, "Protect the Best, Restore the Rest," the Pacific Rivers Council has worked hard to gain protection for every aspect of freshwater ecosystems and those who depend on them. We've worked for over 20 years to reduce harmful practices, while at the same time introduce viable recovery plans. We have a long history of success, as well as a multitude of current cases that support this philosophy. Check out our Success Stories and Legal Cases to learn more about what PRC has done to protect our freshwater heritage.

PRC understands the importance of public opinion when it comes to our federal, state and private lands. This is why we have continued to defend the public's right to comment on and appeal issues affecting them. We have an extensive track record of public commenting with reason and sound science, and have therefore earned the respect of local and national decision-makers. You can read some of our comment letters in the Comment Letter Archive. If you can't find what you are looking for, please feel free to Contact Us and we will be happy to assist you.

We continue to urge the public to exercise this right. Check out our Take Action page to learn how you can get involved.
