PRC takes legal action to protect aquatic resources when these resources are threatened with environmental degradation; we only take this action after we have exhausted opportunities to work cooperatively with agencies to remedy the problems.   Nevertheless, we recognize that durable solutions do not necessarily result from lawsuits alone.  Conservation depends on building solutions that meet the social and economic needs of people while preserving rivers, streams, fish, and other aquatic species.
