The Pacific Rivers Council released a new report that provides policy recommendations for the long-term protection of freshwater resources on Mt. Hood National Forest. “Protecting Freshwater Resources on Mount Hood: Recommendations for Policy Changes” provides recommendations for the next revision of the Mt. Hood Forest Plan to ensure protection of the Forest’s water resources, including municipal supplies and aquatic species habitat. This revision by the U.S Forest Service is expected in 2016.
