Christafien Dixon

Christafien joined Pacific Rivers as an intern in January of 2017.

Christafien will be joining our team as a Communication Intern this January. She’ll be graduating for Portland State University’s Honors Program this spring, majoring in Communications and with a minor in Sociology. We’re thrilled that she’ll be spending a few months helping us deliver our message of river conservation to more people and gaining career skills for her future.

Before joining our team, Christafien interned at Rose Haven, a women and children’s shelter where she designed and implemented a program to teach personal development to benefit the shelter residents. It is through this internship and her academic career that she learned the power of communication to inspire people and show them what they are capable of. Christafien is very excited to put this passion to work for Pacific Rivers supporting our environmental initiatives.

Outside of her studies and work, she leads a very active lifestyle: spending time with friends, in the gym, and immersing herself in new life experiences. She believes that her active lifestyle fuels both her personal happiness and her persistence in spreading joy and knowledge though communication.
