Mike is no stranger to Pacific Rivers, he came to us in 2014 as an intern, helping to write comments on the Bureau of Land Management’s draft plan for Oregon & California railroad lands (O&C Lands). He left in the summer of 2015, but he’s back at work for Pacific Rivers. Mike is currently doing part-time administrative work while he finishes up his final year at Lewis & Clark Law School here in Portland.
Before coming to Portland to focus on natural resource law, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 2011. Between 2012 and 2014 he worked as the Office and Project Manager for the Glen Canyon Institute, an organization dedicated to the restoration of Glen Canyon and a free flowing Colorado River.
Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah Mike has spent much of his life exploring the Wasatch Mountains and the Colorado Plateau. In his spare time Mike enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and fly-fishing. He spends as much time as possible outside, around rivers and mountains.
